The online Master of Science degree in Business Analytics relies heavily upon the theory and applications of computer programming, economics, finance, information management, marketing, statistics and operations research to integrate business strategy with various aspects of data science. 

The non-degree seeking online certificate program in Business Analytics and Intelligent Decision Making provides students with the necessary skills to enable them to design, compile and analyze complex data that is generated by public or private sector organizations.

This minor provides a foundation for students wishing to add the basics of education and the teaching profession. Courses in this minor will bring awareness of high-need teaching areas and career options in education. Additionally, students will explore childhood growth and development and survey varying exceptionalities that students in their classrooms may present.

The Education Department provides a variety of offerings for students who wish to pursue a career in teaching. All programs are designed to prepare graduates to meet the educational needs of a growing and diverse student population. Teacher certification programs are available for Early Childhood through Grade 6 (EC-6), Grades 7-12 and All Level (EC-12). Bilingual, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Special Education certifications are also available.

The bachelor鈥檚 degrees in English let students explore a variety of authors from Shakespeare to Mexican American literature while composition courses let them polish their skills in academic writing. A technical and professional writing concentration and minor are also available to teach students the skills to communicate digitally through the creation of technical and business documents and field-specific research methods and citation practices.

When combined with the criminology and criminal justice degree, students can pursue positions in crime scene investigation, both in law enforcement and with the medical examiner's office.

The History degree with a concentration in Integrated Digital and Public History incorporates course content with new information technology tools to show students how to prepare content for diverse audiences. The program provides students with a broad view of the human experience as it hones their critical analysis, writing and oral communication skills.

The Bachelor of Business Administration with an Individualized concentration allows students to create their own business-focused degree that draws upon courses from different disciplines. This provides students with the option to pursue a degree that falls outside of the traditional BBA concentrations available while tailoring their degree to align with their career aspirations after college.

The Kinesiology degree prepares students to work with individuals at all stages of life from young children to older adults. The program produces aspiring professionals pursuing careers in sport and fitness training, health promotion, athletic coaching, athletic training and physical education. Concentrations are available in health professions, and sport and fitness management as well as a teacher certification for those wishing to become physical education teachers.

A degree in Management prepares students for the important task of getting work accomplished through collaborative efforts with others in an organization. Students with a degree in management may expect to coordinate service and manufacturing operations, manage product/service development in a project environment, or even manage their own business.

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a Marketing concentration gives students the foundation to excel in a variety of industries. The program is designed to prepare students to enter and/or enhance their market knowledge to become successful managers, designers, consultants and entrepreneurs in advertising, brand management, market research, sales, and public relations in nonprofit organizations, for-profit companies and higher education institutions. The degree emphasizes international global and interdisciplinary factors affecting successful marketing techniques, planning and campaigning.

The Mass Communication bachelor's program lays the groundwork for students to be successful mass media professionals whether they plan to have careers in public relations, film or television, or to continue their studies at the graduate level. This is achieved through a professional, hands-on style of teaching where students learn every aspect of mass media from theory to production with a solid grounding in media ethics, law and history. The Master of Arts in Teaching degree is designed for students who have earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree and would like to add teacher certification while earning a master鈥檚 degree. Students can choose from specializations in areas that are critical to school districts in the region:  Bilingual Education - Elementary, English as a Second Language - Elementary,  Special Education - Elementary, and Secondary and All-Level in Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, History, Music, Art, Physical Education and Spanish with additional certification in English as a Second Language. 

The Master of Education (MEd) degree prepares professional educators to understand and meet the needs of a diverse student population; function in a global society; be life-long learners; and gain the skills and vision needed to be leaders in schools faced with the challenges of today. Specializations available in Curriculum and Instruction include: Diverse Populations, Reading and Literacy, Dual Language and Special Populations, and Integrated Science Teaching.

The bachelor's degrees in Mathematics prepare students for a variety of careers in business, education, engineering, statistics, actuary and government. Students are introduced to in-depth problem solving, mathematical modeling and innovative ways to integrate technology into their studies to prepare them for their careers. A teacher certification is also available for students wishing to become math teachers.

The Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies and Research allows students to design a custom plan of study that brings together coursework from the social and behavioral sciences. Students choose courses from psychology, sociology, criminology and criminal justice, and anthropology, to create a degree that teaches students the knowledge and skills needed to pursue career options in various industries.

The Master of Science in Nonprofit Management is an online, fast-track program designed for aspiring staff directors, senior leaders, governing board members, or founders in the nonprofit sector. The 10-course, 30-credit-hour program, can be completed in 16 months. The affordable tuition, at approximately $15,000 for the entire program, was set in recognition of the crucial, values-based contributions of nonprofit workers and leaders who improve the quality of life and help meet the urgent needs of our communities. 

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing and Communication at Our Lady of the Lake University is designed to prepare graduates to take on professional writing positions in a variety of industries. Technical communicators and professional writers take complex information and present it in a way that is more easily understandable by consumers and field-specific professionals. Their skills are in demand in a variety of fields.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology prepares students to apply psychological theory and science in a broad range of settings and to pursue graduate studies. Students complete core courses that represent the field of psychology and have the option of selecting either a flexible degree plan that allows for more elective courses in psychology or a concentration in pre-counseling.

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree with a concentration in Counseling Psychology trains graduates for the independent practice of assessment and intervention with individuals, groups, families and couples. The PsyD program emphasizes skills and competencies for the professional practice of psychology and is designed to meet state academic requirements for licensure as a psychologist.

The Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) prepares practitioners to assist with mental health concerns in family and social contexts using relational strengths-based approaches to psychotherapy. The MFT concentration is designed to meet the academic requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas, and also meets the academic requirements for licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

Offered through the Sociology program, the Public Health Minor uses perspectives from sociology, biology, anthropology, politics, history and others to teach students the science and art of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. 

The Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in School Psychology prepares practitioners to provide a variety of services including assessment, counseling, crisis management and intervention to children and adolescents. School Psychologists work with students, families, administrators, and community providers to create safe, supportive learning environments. School Psychologists focus on using the most effective strategies to support individual student needs.

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is designed to prepare students for general practice as a social worker and for acceptance in to graduate school. Graduates of the program are eligible for licensure by examination by the State of Texas and for full membership in the National Association of Social Workers. A minor in Social Welfare and Social Justice is also available. The BSW is offered face-to-face and online. 

The Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program will prepare students to change the lives of children and families in need while building the foundation for their own career in social service leadership and advanced direct practice. A foundation program is available for students whose bachelor's degree is in something other than social work and an advanced standing program is available for students who hold a BSW from a CSWE-accredited institution. The MSW is offered face-to-face and online. 

The PhD in Social Work degree places an emphasis on advanced social work practice and focuses on preparing practitioner-scholars who bridge the gap between academic researchers and practitioners. The program is an academically rigorous program designed for professionals to earn their PhD in as little as four years full time. The online program requires a one-week summer residency each summer of study.

The Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) program at Our Lady of the Lake University offers seasoned, employed speech-language pathologists, the opportunity to take their speech-language pathology skills to the next level.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and New Media Arts offers a wide range of courses to cultivate students' creativity as well as the technological skills required of a new media arts focus. Students in the program are able to explore their passion, whether it is ceramics, printmaking, digital imaging, animation or even teaching. The degree allows students to tailor their degree to create a visual arts focus, a new media arts focus or a combination of both.
